We were thrilled that the most asked question at our recent webinar was
How can I volunteer in Israel as an OT?
Some helpful places to learn & register are:
Health Ministry English & Hebrew application forms available
Swords of Iron Volunteer website This application is closed at the time of this publication but keep checking, it might open up again.
Emergency Volunteers Project This is the first time EVP has included OTs in their deployments and we hope you can be part of it!
This volunteer deployment should be at no cost to the volunteer (flight, airport travel to location, food, & lodging are covered) however both entities are 501c3 and welcome donations.
The current location is ADI Negev, a rehab hospital in Ofakim 12 miles from the Gaza border.
Deployments are for 2 weeks (sorry, they can't do shorter deployments).
Unfortunately they are unable to accept students or OTAs as Israel does not have a path for recognition of OTAs.
For more information, check out their site and feel free to contact Jonathan via WhatsApp at +1 410.299.2458 with questions.
If you have info to share, please email us at info@jewishotnetwork.org and we'll distribute on all our channels!
